1969

Doctoral thesis in Geology and Paleontology on Bryozoa (Ph. D. Natural Sciences.).

1969-76

Member of the scientific board, and curatorial position at the Geological-Paleontological Institute and Museum at Hamburg-University, Germany.

1972

Exploration and feasibility studies in Morocco, assigned by the Federal Institute of Geosciences and Natural Resources (Hannover, Germany).

1975-1995

Editor of the annual "Mitteilungen aus dem Geologisch-Paläontologischen Institut der Universität Hamburg" (Contributions of the Geological - Paleontological Institute of Hamburg University).

1977/78

Lecturer in Geology and Paleontology and hydrogeological mapping in Cebu City (Philippines), in co-operation with the Water Resources Center of the University of San Carlos. Funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Three months contract for each year.

Mapping of the 4000 km2 island of Bohol / Philippines by means of aerial geology and remote sensing; in co-operation with Prof. Dr. F. VOSS (University of Berlin, Germany).

Invitation of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR, India). Lectures in New Dehli, Hyderabad, Madras and at the National Institute of Oceanography (NIO, Goa).
